Ring spinning machine types

 

 

  • F6K03
    Woolen ring spinning frames for NM 1 - 10 count range

 

Ring frame suitable for spinning wool, acrylic and blends in the heavy yarn count range. Draft system with a false twist device. The speed of the false twist can be set by a motor driven by inverter. The slubbing is drafted in a vertical draft zone and its entry into the false twist funnel is ensured by a pneumaticsystem called"Compressfil".

Each slubbing is kept separate in the draft area by means of a separator. The feed and draft rollers have a large diameter and are made with special steel, hardened, rectified, polished and are borne on roller bearings. The pendular arms are the pressure type and allow a draft up to 1.3 (30%) with long fibers, with good yarn quality. The traverse of the roving reduces the wear on the surface of the cots. A centralized device called "Pneumafil" vacuums up the broken ends as they come out of the drafting area.

 

The speed of the unwinding drums withrespect to the speed of the feed rollers can be set, and is driven by a motor driven by inverter. Specially designed roving guides are located between the unwinding drums and the feed rollers.

 

(1) The automatic doffing is located on top of the ring spinning frame and is composed by bands with pegs that can move forward and backward by means of mechanical pistons, a bar with inflatable grippers that can move upward and downward by a means of a system of endless screws bolted to the frame of the ring frame itself, a bobbin lifter composed of two yarn breaking bushes and a system of mechanical pistons to move them up and downalong the spindle. The tubes could be fed to the automatic doffer with an automatic tube loades, or by linking to an automatic winder. A feature of the automatic doffing device is also the "mouse", or automatic cleaning device for the underwinding, located on the bottom yarn breaking bushes. This cutsthe end connected to the bobbins, scrapes the underwinding, and sucks it into a little box (Venturi system).Air pressure required for the mouse: 6 Bars.

(2) The automatic creeler is composed of a very simple elevator for the condenser bobbins, a chain transporting the condenser bobbins along the ring spinning frame, a bar equipped to lock the ends of theslubbings of the new condenser bobbins by means of little nozzles for the air pressure system, a system of levers that will carry the fullcondenser bobbins onto the surface unwinding drums and at the same time will push the empty condenser bobbins to the back of the ring frameand lower the bar with the ends of the slubbings onto a little conveyor located just before the feed cot, a system of blades that will cut the slubbings of the empty condenser bobbins so that the twoends can be joined together by air pressure in the conveyor located just before the feed cot, and a transport belt located at the back of the ring frame and used to carry the empty condenser bobbins along the ring frame in order to dump them into a container at one side of the ring frame.

(3) The machine is supplied with a cleaning device for the underwinding suction coils called "mouse", which is activated automatically after every doff.

  • FST03
    Woolen ring spinning frames for NM 8 - 36 count range

 

The FST03 woolen ring spinning frame is suitable for spinning any kind of material: wool, cashmere, yak, angora, camel hair, silk, synthetic fibers, cotton, regenerated fibers, and any blend of these fibers, into medium, fine and very fine yarn counts. The two draft zones can achieve, with any kind of material, the maximum draft with the highest yarn eveness, strength, elasticity and covering power. This ring spinning frame has the only draft type in the world that canmatch the draft ratio and quality of the traditional mule, even with poor blend of very short fibers, making it a better machine for its higher productivity, flexibility, lower requirement of manpower, and with the result of a larger yarn package.

The first (rear) drafting zoneis 470 mm long and is provided with a special false twist device. Because of its very special constructionyarns of any type, including fancy knobs or slubs, can be processed through this same false twist device. Vibration is given to the roving being drafted, which makes the application of the draft easier and improves

 

the yarn eveness. The second (front) drafting zone consists of two rollers with a large intermediate control roller between the two rollers. The intermediate control roller has a top apron supported by a small cage designed to reduce to a minimum the distance between the delivery point of the apron to the front roller so as to retain control of the very short fibers. this permits the processing of shoddy materials of very short length with higher draft ratios than normal. In addition, in the first (rear) zone there is a pneumatic device called "Compressfil" that blows the broken roving into the false twist funnel so that the roving thereafter is automatically fed into the Pneumafil tubes, thus reducing laps.

All bottom rollers in the two drafting zones are made of special steel, hardened, rectified and borne by needle bearings with greasers.

The FST03 woolen ring frame is offered only single sided. It can be supplied with a wide range of optionals, such as the elevator and transporterof the full and empty condenser bobbins; the automatic creeler with air joint of the two ends of the slubbings of the condenser bobbins; the automatic doffing with tube loader or direct linking to an automatic winder; the automatic cleaner of the underwinding, and a centralized computer which processes all the data coming from the machine as it works.

 

 

(1) Under request we can supply an automatic doffing device that includes an automatic tube loader at floor level, the automatic unloading of the full bobbins into a container at the side of the ring frame, a pantograph with pneumatic gripper for the doffing.

The whole structure of the automatic doffing is hidden and located under the ring frame, and the elevated platform between ring frames that enables the operator to be at the same level that he would be with manual ring frames, is part of the supply of the automatic doffer device.

(2) The automatic creeler is comprised by a tube loader, a delivery system for moving  the tubes along the machine, a bar with devices that clamp the wick of the new condenser bobbins (these clamping devices contain a nozzle that supplies compressed air used to join the wicks), a lever system to deliver the new condenser bobbins, unloading the old ones in the rear of the ring frame, a system to break the  wick on the dwindling bobbins and a delivery system for the depleted bobbins, which unloads them at the side of the machine.

 

(3) The machine is supplied with a cleaning device for the underwinding coils named "mouse", which is activated automatically at every doff.

 

  • FPK03/8C
    Semi-worsted ring spinning frame fed by cans

 

The semi-worsted ring spinning frame "FPK03" is the latest model that Officine Gaudino offers, and contains the most advanced technological items of the new century.

This model is supplied with two draft zones, single sided, fed by cans.

The drive head-stock is electronically driven (main motor AC driven by inverter, motors driving the rollers and the ring-rail DC brushless) and is supplied with all motors pre-wired, as there is one chassis only containing the head-stock and the electrical panel.

Since the drive headstock is electronically driven, it is possible to supply a software package for the production of flamed (fancy) yarns.

The high- draft system does not use aprons and is composed by seven or eight lines of rollers.

The positon of the feed  roller can be moved even while the machine is running, in order to change the length of the back draft zone in respect to the length of the fibers being processed (Quick-Setting device). 

 

The rear draft zone has one line of rollers with soft barrels (Model FPK03/7C) or two lines of rollers (Model FPK03/8C), while the front draft zone has a diameter of 51 mm.

On request we can supply a sliver-stop device  that stops the feeding of the sliver when an end breaks. For very long machines there is an option of an electronically driven headstock located in the middle of the machine. In that case there would be one Pneumafil box at each end of the ring spinning frame

 

 

(1) The "FPK03" model with tube height up to 360 mm is supplied with the automatic doffin device located under the spindles with a pantograph system.

In order to ensure good ergonomics, this type of ring spinning frame is supplied with an elevated platform to be positioned between the two sides. If only one ring frame is supplied, the elevated platform is supplied with a safety handrail.

The "FPK03" model with tube height above 360 mm is supplied with the automatic doffing device located above the ring frame. The bar with the grippers is moved up and down by means of endless screws bolted onto the structure of the machine. The band for the bobbins and the tubes moves alongside the machine and is positioned under the grippers both inside and outside by means of mechanical pistons.

(2) The machine is supplied with a cleaning device for the underwinding coils named "mouse", which is activated automatically at every doff.

  • FPT03
    Semi-worsted ring spinning frame fed by roving

 

The "FPT03" model is a double sided semi-worsted ring spinning frame with single draft composed by three lines of rollers and a double apron system. The pendular arm allows the feeding of two rovings per spindle, for which a bobbin creel with one bobbin holder per each spindle is provided. The draft area has been designed to run at up to 45 meters per minute, thus the feed and front rollershave an outside diameter of 45 mm, while the roller driving the apron system has a diameter of 40 mm.

A roving-stop device can be supplied on request.

The spindle is provided with a "spinning finger" (semi-collapsed balloon system) for medium counts. Since this model has been designed as a semi-worsted ring spinning frame, the rings are sintered and cylindrical for the use of plastic travellers. Steel conical rings could be supplied on request, but only for the 75 mm diameter.

The drive headstock is electronically driven and supplied with with all motors preprewired, as there is only one chassis containing both the headstock and electrical panel.

 

The main motor is AC driven by inverter. The rollers and the ring-rail are driven by servomotors (brushless type). upon request, it is possible to supply a software package for the production of "flamed" and "multicount" (fancy) yarns. The manual ring spinning frame is supplied with a bobbin height of 350 mm or 400 mm. The 400 mm bobbins are supplied with tiltable separators between spindles. The spindles are driven by belts, four spindles per belt (2 per side). The main shaft driving the spindles has a diameter of 40 mm. The spindle brake is of the knee type, provided with a suitable footboard.

 

(1) The automatic doffing is done by means of a pantograph, located under the spindles. The lateral movement of the bar with grippers is controlled by an absolute detector, while the vertical movement is driven by a motor with inverter. The tubes are loaded on a tray loop. The trays are moved by pistons and are re-alligned every section. Prior to the doffing of the bobbins, the tubes are moved onto a fixed bar with pegs in order to allow the unloading of the bobbins onto the trays. Grippers are pneumatic and the tubes are dropped onto the spindles, but they are pushed into position by a spring in order to reduce wear on the rubber of the grippers. The bobbins are unloaded by gravity. The automatic doffing device being positioned under the machine is the reason why it is not possible to have bobbins higher than 310 mm. It is possible to link the automatic doffing to an automatic winder, in this case the automatic tube loader is not supplied.

(2) The machine is supplied with a cleaning device for the underwinding coils named "mouse", which is activated automatically at every doff.

 

  • FP03 - FPB03
    Worsted ring spinning frames fed by roving

 

The "spinning finger" for semi-collapsed balloon spinning is nothing new. Spindle tops have been used on semi-worsted ring spinning frames for over 40 years and Officine Gaudino S.p.A. has a wealth of experience in the  production of fine count worsted yarn since the early 1990's. Today, Gaudino worsted ring spinning frames are running in the best known Italian worsted spinning companies for both knitting and weaving applications. The "spinning finger" reduces the tension on the yarn. Reducing the tension on the yarn is important in order to make better yarns and to increase spindle speed. The FP03 is the latest model and all ring frames of this new line are preset for the application of the mechanical condensation device EliTe®CompactSet- Suessen.

All fixed parts of the machine are shipped preassembled on one chassis that includes the pneumafil box, the tube loader (when required), the electric panel and all motors driving the machine. The motor driving the spindles is driven by inverter, while all servomotors driving the rollers of the draft and the ring-rail are of the brushless type.

 

Since the machine is electronically driven, it is possible to supply a software package to produce flamed (fancy) yarns. All components are easy to reach for maintenance and all electrical parts are ventilated. The pendular arm supplied with machines gauge 75 and 82,5 mm is of the pneumatic type, but it is possible to mount the mechanical pendular arm on request. With gauge 90 mm, the pneumatic pendular arm is not available. The structure of the ring spinning frame is very sturdy and is based on a cast iron closed ring on which all components for the transmission of movement are fixed: spindle rails, shafts for the spindle drive, frames for the jockey pulleys and belts for driving the spindles. Spindles are driven by belts: eight spindles per belt with 75 and 82,5 mm gauges, and 4 spindles per belt with 90 mm gauge. The section is composed of 40 spindles (20 per side) with 75 mm gauge, and 32 spindles (16 per side) with 82,5 and 90 mm gauges.

 

The "FP03" model is also available as a  dual drive version, called "FPB03".

Each side of this machine is completely independent: all draft and twist drives, spindles, and automatic doffing are double, and even the pneumafil has two separate ducts, one for each side, with two separate boxes for the waste. The dividing plates have been designed to prevent, as much as possible, contamination of fibers on one side by fibers from the other. There are dividing plates between the creels, the draft and the spindle transmissions.

This version also has all its fixed components on one chassis and all motors are prewired to the electrical panel. The drive is electronic and an optional software package is available for the production of flamed (fancy) yarns and is preset for the application of the mechanical condensation EliTe®CompactSet - Suessen.

 

The spindles are driven by belts: one belt for every 10 spindles in the 75 mm gauge, for belt for 8 spindles in the 82,5 mm gauge and one belt for 4 spindles in the 90 mm gauge . The machine's sections are composed by 40 spindles (20 per side) on the 75 mm gauge, and 32 spindles (16 per side) in the 82,5 and 90 mm gauges.

(3) The "double antiballoon" rings are advised when spinning wool in medium and fine counts for weaving yarns, and this allows the use of lighter travellers, without the trouble caused by the friction of the balloon between spindles. This allows for higher speeds that normal.

(4) For the parallel drafting of two rovings (Siro type), we supply double bobbin holders, as well as special condensers for the feed of the draft, the cradle and on the front roller.

 

(5) Regarding the supply of sensors and "roving stop" devices and the application of elastomers, Officine Gaudino co-operates with the most advanced producers and has agreements for the supply with the machines.

 

  • FP19/1C - FP19/2C
    Ring spinning machines for carbon fiber spinning, fed by cans

 

The "FP19" model for carbon fiber spinning makes use of the century's most advanced technologies.

There are two versions of this machine: the "FP19/1C" with a single draft zone, and the "FP19/2C" with two draft zones, single sided and fed by cans;

 

The headstock is electronically driven (the main motor is driven by inverter, while the calender motors and ring bank motors are of the "brushless" type).

All cables required to reach the electical panel are supplied. The electrical panel must be kept in a separate room to avoid contact with carbon fibers. 

The feed calender's position may be adjusted even while the machine is running, in order to adjust the length of the first draft zone depending on the fibres that are being worked on (Quick-Setting device).

 

  • FU14
    Ring spinning machines for wet linen spinning

 

The “FU14” model for linen spinning is made for wet spinning, for thin counts. It is made with a special draft zone, double sided with single drive, fed by bobbins set on a creel above the machine;

 

The headstock is electronically driven (the main motor is driven by inverter, while the feed, delivery calender motors and ring bank motors are of the "brushless" type) and supplied with all the main motors pre-wired on the same chassis, along with the electrical panel. The draft system is composed by a lower draft apron and an upper rubber cot, along with a small roller. The mechanical components are made in stainless steel or other water resistant materials, or treated to avoid rust formation. The ring spinning machines has a semi-collapsed balloon with stainless steel rings. The ring bank is also in stainless steel, in 16 spindle sections. The spindles are driven by a tangential belt system and the spindle brakes are manually activated.
Due to the presence of humidity there is no pneumafil system for brocken ends, so the machine is equipped with a "roving stopper" to pin the brocken roving in the feeding zone.

Grippers are pneumatic and the tubes are dropped onto the spindles, but they are pushed into position by a spring in order to reduce wear on the rubber of the grippers. The bobbins are unloaded by gravity.

(2) The cleaning & oiling system for the rings is comprised of an automatic cart connected to the ring bank, which moves along the machine spraying a mixture of oil in programmable time intervals.
